Notes:
Alan Williams arrived in Los Angeles in 1990.  The talented musician completed graduate work in film scoring at the University of Southern California and since then has become one of Hollywood’s most sought after composers and arrangers.

His music is identifiable for its strength, grace, grandeur and broad sweeping scope.  He is a master at creating extensive imagination and flair for dramatic musical expression, with an intuitive sense of good taste.

Along with composing and arranging, Mr. Williams displays a great talent and apparent love for conducting.  He was able to elicit for this album, a brilliant performance from the London City Symphony, a world-class orchestra.

Together with violinist Albert Stern, he has created fresh, unique and lush new interpretations of hit popular songs.  This is not the traditional “background orchestral” renditions of pop tunes; instead Williams paints beautiful and grand portrait landscapes in which Stern is able to create and display his intimate and sensual violin mastery in a very “foreground” manner.  This album starts with simple melodies, then adds Sterns’ magnificent violin playing coupled with Williams’ powerful scores, resulting in works of classic and soaring stature for complete listening satisfaction and pleasure!
